I just took delivery of my C6 yesterday. I have the exact same problem as you with the front left speaker. I'm not sure, since I only have about 8 hours of a$$ time in the vehicle at this point (Bowling Green museum is an 8 hour drive from my home in FL!) but I think it's the speaker on the top of the door panel, near the dash.

Do you have any more info about this problem? Have you reported it yet? I'm not certain, but I think it sounds like a speaker with its voice coil broken...I've heard it before, and it sounds similar.
Here we go again OFF SUBJECT AGAIN.. ..

There is someone else here on the forum that is also having problems with a speaker and the Check Engine light is on in two other cases one has only 10 miles on it and the other 200 miles. What gives?

I've spent about an hour in my C6 so far (just got it and will post later!) but I seem to have the same problem where the sound is very fuzzy. I thought it was the radio at first but changing stations had the same sound (I have yet to try a CD). My VIN is 2803.

Don't seem to have the left speaker problem in VIN 1499, but have only had the XM radio on once for about 30 min. (all at one time). Didn't understand whether this was also a problem with others' XM or not.

EDIT: Still have only played the XM radio, but have total of about an hour on it and no problems with the speakers.

Steve-
Are you dealing with Jerry's or another dealer hereabouts?

I bought the C6 at Durants Chevy in Granbury, took it back there for the speaker problem. I hope to have some news Monday. They are nice guys to deal with, just hope they can get on someones butt at GM and have me a new speaker soon.

New speaker was installed Wednesday and the problem is still with us.
The front left channel sounds distorted. Even the freindly reminder chime is distorted.

Now I am waiting on someone at GM to come up with a solution.

Well the same thing happened to the Blose in my C5 when it was 1 week old. They replaced one of the amps and that fixed it. Sorry to see you have to go through that. It sucks !!

Default Speaker Problems

I have VIN 0575 and I also have speaker problems - mostly with the passenger front. Stereo is definitely not as good as my C5 was. Hope GM comes up with a solution soon.

Hmm, just replaced both my fronts with Focal K2P's.
Guess I'm glad I did now.

For anyone that wants them, I have a perfectly good set of OEM front speakers. Although you shouldn't need them - all this should be warranty work.

Wow,

You gotta give GM credit - that was HARD to do! (Make the stereo worse than the C5's that is...)
