Default LG's + Corsa Ti = Done!

Had to have a custom H-pipe fabricated. Al Noe at Stainless Works did a great job and got it to me quicker than expected.

It is FREAKING LOUD! And that's with the optional mufflers.

Not that it's a bad thing, though.. Will post sound clips when I get a chance. Haven't even driven it yet, just started it while up on the jackstands. Still working on the T1 swaybars.

If anyone is ever interested in doing this, let me know, I have the complete specs and drawing of the H-pipe.

Dayum... looks sweet. What's the sealant on the band clamps for?

Thanks. High temp copper gasket sealant inside the fittings - no leaks this way. I plan on using a tailpipe wideband so leaks could throw off the A/F reading.

I'm a little slow here. Why the custom H Pipe rather than one of the X pipes? Also did you go with HP Cats? What about hooking up the O2 sensors? Did you just hook up the front two or what? Thanks for any info. I am thinking about headers but need to be able to hook up all four O2 sensors to be legal in my state.

I bet it sounds mean as hell.

Al Noe is a great guy too.

No cats. Definitely no room for them. I edited out my rear O2's with LS1Edit. The reason I went H instead of X was strictly due to size constraints. The whole H pipe is less than 11" long, that's not enough room for an efficient X pipe. The Corsa Ti uses some kind of sound cancellation chambers which you can see in the 3rd pic. I had a very limited amount of room to work between them and the headers. If you need cats, don't even consider this setup. Use the LG's with cats and the catback of your choice.

The reason I opted to use this particular setup was because I want to place transmission and differential coolers where the mufflers normally sit. Also the Corsa's are a bit tamer than other straight-pipe setups when you keep your right foot light. When you mash it, its NASCAR loud!

:o Sorry no sound clips yet. Next time I go to the track I'll make sure somebody gets a clip. My ancient camcorder broke so hopefully Santa will replace it this year.

Couple of members here, MarksC5TT and Dr Chill heard it at Sebring last Sunday and thought it was LOUD but a good loud.
