Default Is a Fan Clutch Matched to a Thermostat ???

I was wondering if the fan clutch is matched to a thermostat temperature ?

My BB came with a 180 degree tehrmo - and my car stil has the factory clutch.

I used a 160 thermo when I replaced the radiator and the clutch wil only engage when the radiator temp approaches 180-190 ..

Can I have the clutch adjusted to operate at a lower temperature ?

Thanks

Bill

Thermostats dictate MINIMUM operating temp, not maximum, and it will not change the characteristics of the fan clutch.
