Muffler advice on BB
My current setup on my BB has headers with 2 1/2 pipes back to a set of V-Force mufflers. I have been told they are like a Flowmaster 40 series. I love the sound but they are very loud. Has anyone tried Magnaflow or Dynomax turbo mufflers? Still want to have a strong sound but not so nasty sounding. I would like to keep my neighbors as friends!

I just replaced my 10 year old 3 inch dynomark super turbo's with a new set because I felt the insides of the old ones were getting burned out.
I think they are a nice sounding muffler without the drone at low speeds. Being 3 inch they are naturally a little louder but I don't know anything quieter in 3 inch.
The 2.5 inch should be alot quieter. I like them.

Very loud for who? The neighbors or you?
Headers directly to headermufflers and lose the complete dead weight exhaust system. Too loud? Who cares? You aren't driving a Cadillac!

Ratman,
I bought a pair of Dynomax Super Turbo muffs. They are one of the quieter high performance mufflers out there. I wanted to have my Vette sound good but still sound fairly quiet. The original system I took off was station wagon quiet with the cat and all but too restrictive. You would probably like them.
I have another car to drive when I want to "make some noise".
-Mark.
