Default Sent some stuff to Bairs

Sent my trailing arms and rear end to Bairs for rebuilding.
Bad news, need new arms because mine were "fat". Guess that means rusty. Surprises me becuase the frame is great except for the rear body mount brackets that are welded to the frame. The rotors need to be replaced because they were turned a few years ago and they are under spec. A friggin set of rotors is expensive enough.

More bad news, the rear end was missing internal parts! The posi clutches were missing and some springs I was told. Guess that explains why it always "clunked" when put into gear. The rear end also needed a new cover because of a bad hold where the leaf spring bolts up. That friggin cover is expensive enough.

Look at it this way, when it comes back, you will not have to worry about it for anther 30 years or so. That would last me until retirement, if I last that long.

I think you will be happy with the product from Bairs. I know I was.

I just sent my trailing arms to Bairs today. They have been super nice on the phone and have a great reputation for personal service. I'll post pix of mine when I get them on.

Bair's is great. They rebuilt my trailing arms and I have also ordered parts from them and always have been happy.

Bairs is tops in my book. They are truly Corvette enthusiasts.
