I'd go with stainless. Aluminium has a low tolerance to vibration.

My 73 had a 3/8 fuel line, 5/16 return and 5/16 to the vapour canister.
Any problems with using all 3/8 Stainless to replace all of them?

Steve

edit for spelling

If your not looking for the luster of stainless aluminum will be fine.
Vibration will not harm it......airplanes are 99% aluminum.
Aluminum will not bend and flex like steel it will crack as steels will bend more.

I just went through this today with my engine builder. If it is a healthy BB or a wild SB it should be 1/2. I told him I was doing it in 3/8 and he chastized me

He stated a 3/8 line would flow nowhere near my needs given 600HP requirements and said that even my old 427 was no good with 3/8 lines. I asked what I should do about the return line, he was noncommittal so I will leave it stock size for now as I am too lazy to swap it out as well. I was surprised, I have a good fuel pump as well.

Good luck
-Andre
