I was looking through Corvette America and ran across a dash cap for $115 vice the $300 plus for a new one. (1969) Has anyone ever installed / tried this ?? My dash is solid but has cracked vinyl. Any thoughts welcome.

Get the 300$ dash and fugheddabout the dashcap.

I'm thinking of the same thing but was just gonna go with a cheap dash pad to protect the new dash.

I'm middle of the road on dash pad skins. I've known folks who loved them and others who hated them. Quality of installation seems to be the benchmark. Door skins (and dash skins, too, for that matter) were discontinued a few years back because almost everybody who bought them and tried to install them were extremely dissatisfied with the results.
