If you or anyone else is interested I have a set of headlight covers and buckets (BRAND NEW) the same pieces used on all those endurance race cars. Be advised they aren`t cheap, but less than Guldstrand who gets $580 for the set. e-mail me DIRECT!! redvetracr@msn.com

$580 sounds like a steal compared to what I paid.

Default You want to be creative?

If you are feeling a little creative you can make your own. I found this picture of the setup some guy used to make his own. Then he just used some lexan to make his own covers. Good luck.

Only if I can find a kit that will satisfy me .

Have all the front suspension also for sale as long as this monoleaf system works out okay that I bought from Ecklers . Will have many other items for sale because this 671 Blown 81 vette is far from original .

Default Very nice looking system

I like that look other than the screws showing on the top side of the covers . Is this a kit you can buy ?

Default So who sells or makes these headlight kits ?

What manufacturer makes these kits ? Not looking for a kit that holds the round lights , the small retangular ones .

You make it sound easy! the brackets may be easily done, but the bubble covers are NOT! easy to re-create!

Ecklers sells the covers aswell as Corvette Central. They are way overpriced for a piece of plexiglass if you as me. Thats why I didn't buy them.

I have a set of the recessed rectangular lights I bought from corvette central not to long ago. I am selling them for $300. I do not have the plexiglass covers though. The light buckets have been painted to match my car but they are not a big deal to repaint. There was alot of sanding and fitting to get them to look right. The trim that goes around the headlights was a pain to get it right. I am selling them only because I deceided to put the Lemans style lights in instead. The rectangular lights have been in the car for less than a month. I have also upgraded to rectangular lights. The ones that come in the kit are weak as far as lighting goes. I installed some Wagner "Brite Lites". That made a huge difference. My new round lemans lights should be in friday, so the rectangular ones will be coming out the same day. Let me know if you are interested. I feel that my price is reasonable, only because of the amount of labor involved to get them to look right. I don't mean fit to the car when I say that I mean fit to the buckets, and the trim around the lights. Let me know.

Dude , that is a ultra bad *** looking vette you have , hope mine will look as well as yours once the paint is laid . My 1981 is Ferrari Red and has a 671 Weiand Blower being installed on a 350 engine . Trany is already built and ready to go but am debating on whether or not to use this B&M Holeshot converter because it is a 2500-2800 stall . Not going with a radical cam so I probably wont need to use the stall .

That was just for the bubble covers, right? Not with the aluminum buckets?
