Default Oil line sealing?

I'm using the SS braided oil line but got a little leak at the gauge. Can I use telfon tape to help seal?

teflon tape is technically not a sealant and is only intented to be used on tapered pipe threaded. the teflon (tape or goo) works by reducing the friction of the threads so that they will bind and deform to make a positive thread-thead seal.

if the fitting is a flare for a ferrule, then you may not have the correct adapter, and it may just be on the limit of sealing in your setup.

do you have stock gauge?

Presently connected to an after market pressure gauge to prime engine. I know that gas & teflon tape don't mix, wasn't sure about oil though. It's a straight line-gauge connection.
