Default Got a C4 blower motor

Mid July in Central Tx, time to get serious about the AC. I've read on earlier posts that others have put in a c4 blower motor for more air. My question is, how big of a spacer do I need to make the impeller fit. I thought I read on an earlier post 3/4" would work, but on corvettefaq the guy made a 1.5 " spacer. Anybody whose done this remember? Thanks

you guys are doing some mods.

Besure to post pics.

I also read recently that you will need to seal the a/c ductwork.

Yeh, a 3/4 inch plywood spacer works fine, I just through bolted it into the original holes, and it all lines up just fine...longer screws....a bit of RTV on both sides of the spacer and it's sealed....might take some RTV around the entire a/c duct work also,...just a neat tight bead around the perimeter does the trick....
