Default Insurance

Hi guys.
I'm sure that this has been done here a thousand times, but I still can't get the search feature to give me anything usefull, so I guess I'll just have to ask:
I would like to get a recommendation for clasic car insurance. All I know already is what is on their web sites and I was hoping to get some unbiased feedback.
So does anybody have any good and or bad stories they would like to share?

thanks
- Robert

Hagerty's had everything I wanted, and they made it incredibly easy. I highly recommend them.

After checking on these, I realize that I have a problem. I keep my vette under a cover, but I don't have an enclosed garage.
It looks like all of the policies require them

Yep. You can take a chance and not enclose it, but if the car is stolen from your driveway, you're SOL.

Default Mileage limit

How do you get around Hagerty's 2500 mile/year limit?

I drive my car about 500 mi. per year. That's about 25 trips up and down the beach route (A1A).

I just got insurance from them. When I sent in the app., they called me and asked if the 5000 miles per year I submitted was correct. I said I didn't have any idea. It was just an estimate. I asked if that was a problem and she said no, but most folks don't drive collector cars that many miles. When I thought about it a while, I realized my last vett was driven less than 5000 miles over a three year period!

I like their no deductable, I can pick my own repair shop and the roadside assistance plan. Policy was less than half as much as my usual carrier (Nationwide) who now only looks at your credit rating to determine your insurance rate, even on collector cars (they wanted almost $600 per year vs Hagarty's $200 per year).
