Lack of power and high RPM miss...
Just got a 75 from my father-in-law, car has been sitting for 12 years. Changed all the fluids, hoses, rebuilt the carb, changed intake(non-emission). Problem is the car had the miss and lack of power before the carb rebuild and intake change, it is still there after. Any ideas as to what to look for. I have checked timing etc. Thanks for your help. Mark

I'd pull/inspect the spark plugs first
While the plug is out
run a compression test.... sitting that long, start with the basics!!!
Do you know why the car was parked???

car was parked based on family requirements, it was keep in the garage. Plugs and wires are new, and the plugs after running look good, compression all around was within 5 pounds. I didn't change the coil, is it possible that is my culprit?

Well I changed the fuel pump and coil, mainly the last remaining parts that could cause this problem, and still no dice. Perhaps my carb is shot even with the rebuild?
