Default SB 4-speed guys, what flywheel are you running?

Picked up my 383 (454HP/480LB-FT) on Friday, and the machine shop commented that my flywheel (which they resurfaced) was pretty heavy. They said it would be good for a street car, but not for road racing, which I don't do anyway. Something that I did think about, they said a heavier flywheel has more momentum, which makes sense, and can shock the driveline more if you nail the throttle and dump the clutch.
So what weight, brand, etc flywheel are you guys running?
Thanks,
Jeff

I am running a steel 30 pound wheel. Be careful you might need an external balanced wheel running a 3.75 crank. Light flywheels will spool up faster but for a street driven car are not all that friendly.

Thanks for the info.
I bought an internally balanced setup from Eagle so I could re-use my balancer and flywheel.

He;s right the steel flywheels are better for the street and the aluminum us better for racing. I'm running the stock flywheel now but will upgrade w/ the 6 speed goes in next year.

The stock flywheels are a iron piece and have been known to come apart at high rpm. If you are going to use a stock flywheel for high rpm usage have it checked for cracks. Most of them will have heat cracks and should not be used. The steel units are the way to go for street. Mystock wheel was junk, full of heat cracks.
