Oil Cooler Sandwich Adapter Thermostat ?
Hello
Is this bi-metallic sping a thermostat to close once the oil temp is too hot or is it a cold start bypass, so only for freezing temp bypass ?
The hole it's closing / opening is rather small.
Should be visible now.
Thanks. Gunther

Sorry for the big pic.
When the hole is completely plugged by the bimetallic spring, the oil is fully forced through the cooler.
When not plugged, it bypasses partially the cooler. I don't think it will all bypass because of the small size of this hole.
Well, is this ment to be a thermostat to regulate the oil temp ?
At what temp setting is this type doing this ?
Thanks. Gunther
