Default ignition wire protection from headers

Does anyone make the heat sleeves that fit over ready made spark plug wires with the 90 degree boots. I'm using the MSD 8.5 wires and I could not get some of the heat boots sold to fit (stretch) over the ends to slide down...

I suggest you look into the Cool it/ Thermotec thermo sleeve, or the thermo flex sleeves.
I bought a 3' section, and cut it into 8 pieces. I can't say for sure which size it was, but if I were to guess, I'd say that I bought the 1" x 3' hose.

The hose was covering the plug boots, and kept the wire from ever getting too close to the headers.

I got the idea from some dyno mule pictures, where they had the sleeves protecting their wires.

Summit & Jegs both carry numerous wire boot heat shield systems.

I bought the stock BB heat shields from GM. Will work with the stock manifold and hopefully I'll be able to modify them when I switch to headers. They attach using the manifold bolt and are cylindrical.
