Default 78 corvette electrical problem

My courtesy lights power anttena and doorlocks blows a fuse whenever i release the hood latch I am stumped any advice would be app. thanks

well there should be a switch in the engine compartment by the wiper motor, chech to make sure it is working correctly.. follow wires to light on hood see if any of them are chaffing or broken.

Do you have an under hood light. I would try to disconnect it if you do. Or perhaps a circuit going to where one used to be. Hmmm, might ought to look at my own. Good Luck!

there is a courtesy light under the dash very near the hood release handle. Check that area for wires that may have the insulation worn or cut. It is common for that light holder to break, and just flop around.

Does your horn work? My horn is on the power antenna and courtesy light circuit, and one of my horns are siezed up along with the contacts assembly being shorted on in the column. I have to unplug the horns right at the horn assembly to keep the fuse from blowing.
