Default 1969 Corvette with Bias Ply tires Question

Hello
Well I put on the original type tires on the car F70-15 tires firestone wide oval, anyway, the car I bought with P235/70 15 radial goodyear, the ride has decreased alot with the bias ply, the car looks right
But drive poorly especially when I have a L71 under the hood
anyone has driven on bias ply tires?

That's the trade off for being "Factory correct", less performance harsher ride.

I started driving in '73 and remember when radials came around. I had forgotten how big the difference was until recently when I bought a '71 pickup that had bias ply on it - no more. There is simply no comparison.

I have a 70 LT-1 . The car had bias plys when I started driving her. They would track every grrove in the road and for a car with manual steering, it could have beena life changing experience. Punched it once and changed my shorts later.

I would not even want to drive my car with belted tires, the belted tires can stay in the shed and rot.

Default Bias Ply repro tires.....

I have been racing with G-70-15 Firestone Wide Oval reproduction tires for over 1 year and have no complaints. I have ran as fast as 11.74 @ 121 mph on them.NO regular street radials will hook as well as these tires do! Put em up tp 40 to 45 psi and they work great. I didnt see any real difference on the street either. Its an 69 Vette, I expect a harsh ride!

the manufactures state 24-30 psi for the tires, and 40 would be too much
with 24-30 the ride is poor
