Storage frame removal for new carpet
On to interior! How do I remove the frame around the storage doors to replace the carpet? It appears to be glued and held with plastic buttons that are molded to the door. Thanks for help!

My 75 had many screws around the edges holding it in place. Start with the ones for the hinges on each of the 3 covers, then get the rest after the covers are out of the way.

The plastic frames around the storage doors on my 74 sound like they were the same as yours from what you have described above. The frames on mine were cracked in a few places already so I was not really concerned with removing them carefully. However once the frames were off from the doors, there were several "plastic nubs" still molded to the storage door. I ended up using a sharp utility knife to cut the nubs off and then purchased a new set of the door frames. The aftermarket doors have pre drilled countersunk holes, that attach with small screws as described above.
If your frames are in good shape you might be able to slide the utility knife between the door and the frame to cut through each nub. To re-attach the frames you could then either glue them, or drill some small holes, and then use some small oval head screws and counter sink them slightly.
