Tire Size Reccomendation
I have searched the threads for this but cannot come up with anything. I am going to replace the 70 series white stripe tires on my 69 Conv, with BR goodrich Radial TA's. My question is, what size works functions and looks best?
My inclination is 235-60-15's. Any ideals?

Most people go with 255/60R15, it gives you a little more meat under the car. I currently have 225/70R15s on the car now and will go to the 255/60 when it is time for some new rubber. People have gone with bigger with offset trailing arms and other mods to the wheel wells so that there is no rubbing on the frame and lips of the wheel well.

I had a 79 L-82 that had 255/60-R15 as stock size. Does anyone know if this size will fit any C3 without modification? I don't know if Chevy had to address any clearance issues on the front of the vehicle for this tire size. The diameter of this tire would be very close to factory, so I don't think you would have to worry much about speedometer error.

i have 235-60-15 TA's on my 69 (silver/black) conv. Wouldn't go any higher, fits the wells perfectly with just the right amount of girth where it still looks classy
