77 Steering turns to the left when you step on the gas.
I was working on the interior of my 77 vette and had the dash out. I replaced the carpet and console shift plate. After I put everything back together the steering pulls hard to the left. It will even turn the wheel when you step on the gas in park. Could I have done something to the telescopic/tilt wheel that is casuing this? Any ideas? :flag

You might need to center your power steering. Since that's under a dust cap on the power steering assembly underneath the car, I wouldn't think dinking with the interior would have caused it.

Your Corvette is telling you it wants to go circle track racing!
When you had your dash out, did you remove the steering column or let it hang from the bottom supports? If you let it hang the weight of the steering column cantilevered at the bottom could have stressed some parts.
Check out www.corvettefaq.com for help with your steering. If you have an assembly manual, it has an exploded view of the steering column that helps see how the parts work together.
Hope this helps.

I agree with this guy. "You might need to center your power steering. On the back side of the left front tire you will see the little dust cover facing you. Pop it off dust cover loosen check nut. Turn screw 1/4 turn clockwise, lock, drive the car. If it's worse. Set it 1/2 turn counter clockwise. That should be better. Thats your base line to fine ajustment
