Hey Moderator, can your new forum do this?
I'm getting tired of hearing the debates over splitting the forum. I personally like the variety of a little OT here and there along with the real stuff. Is it possible to tag a thread OT or OnT and therefore allow members to personalize thier settings so they can hide all the OT threads if they want? To me it sounds like a good idea if its possible.

Occasionally, there are topics that aren't exactly 'on topic' in a C3 sense, but are 'of interest' to the group in here. The C3 group isn't as populous as other forums and as a result, the people in here tend to know each other a bit better than in other forums. As a result, there's a certain level of common interest in here beyond C3s.
For example:
You bought an old camaro/charger/AMX/57 Chevy? Cool. Most people in here are gearheads in some way shape or form and would love to know about it.
You just had a baby? Cool. Let us know so we can share in the excitement.
Your sister just got knocked up by the drugged-out loser she's been dating? Sorry, not really of interest.
Now, there are also some topics that aren't on-topic but are interesting in some other way. On a case-by-case basis, we'll either send those to Off Topic or maybe let them stay in here for 24 hours or so, then they'll get booted.
And remember, we don't read every thread in here!!!! If something obviously doesn't belong, let George or I know. Don't expect that we'll be coming by any minute on our rounds.

OK....and the newbee steps out of the corner "for the first time"...
I like the OT posts but they have their place. The downside to their being included in the General Discussion is that the questions/technical info we are all seeking gets pushed off the 1st page. Only hope is that someone will see your "0" reply post and pick it up and provide a needed answer and (at the same time) get it back on page 1.
