Default A-arm bumper stops

(Sorry no pics D.D. just use links provided i.e. new Forum software)

I noticed holes under the upper A-arms on the frame which looks like made for a bump stop for the upper A-arms.

And the dimple.

Now it differs from the lower A-arm which has a 2-hole bumper stop. So I used those blue stops that came with the coil-over shocks

http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/cal...s/dsc04125.jpg

And I fabricated temporary bump stops. When I actually lowered the car on its tires that upper A-arm is a good 8-10 inches so I think it would never come in contact unless I hit a 3 foot pothole so it doesn't matter anyway. The marks you see are from me manually making the A-arm hit.

Anyway I cannot find these on Corvette Central/ Ecklers. If they exist please notify me and pics would be highly appericated.

Yes, there is supposed to be a bump stop there. Hopefully this pic will show up. The dust is where I haven't cleaned up from the paint job yet. :bb

I removed mine when I clean and repainted the a-arms. When I found the rubbers laying in the garage, I couldn't figure out where they went on the car. I had to ask on the forum.

It was your punishment for voting for a non split

They easily tear around the thin part where it pops into the frame but since you have none someone must have removed them. I'm missing one also, I think I lost it because it was there when I got the car.

Check out my link and scroll to part number FS-12 & FS-13. Bumper acorns. You can also see them in the diagram.

VS thanks but I already placed my order. TT yes theirs rust on the frame but it's light surface rust and now that the cars in Southern California hopefully that stiffles its advance.

TT your right and actually I have been doing it in steps. I have 2 areas of rust. aft of the rear and around the A-arms. Already have the back of the car frame sanded/ grinded down and coated with POR-15. even on top of the frame between the body and frame using inspection mirrors, what a PITA. That section shown will be done when I get the bumpers.
