Default Dash Pad Screws

I am putting the finishing touches on my dash installation and was wondering about the screws that came in the kit. Does anyone have pics of their dash that shows the screws that are used along the top and sides of the dash pads. The ones I have seem like they would eventually make a hole in the dash. Thanks for any help guys.

Eddie,

Give Wilcox a call. Ernie, Norm or Tommy can provide this info. Ernie is a member of the CF as "redred62".

Eddie, Are you asking about the ones on the face of the 2 side panels? If so the original ones have this little ferrul or metal thing around the screw head. The repro ones are shaped differently - they have a curved lip on them. It's important to have some sort of ferrul there otherwise they will pull through the dash and crack the finish.

I put a photo of one from my car in the Photo Library on the '70 Registry website. http://corvetteforum.net/c3/1970regi...ntdetails.html ~Juliet
