Default How much of a difference from changing rear gears?

Hey folks, I just got back from the track, and I'm pretty disappointed at what my vette ran in the 1/8th. 9.41 @ 75.92 MPH. Check out my signature, and you'll see why I'm disappointed. I know I have stock heads, and factory exhaust manifolds, and I was running on street tires, but I'm thinking the big hamper on my ET is my stock rear gears. I have 2.87's in the rear. Does anybody know how much I can expect to drop my ET by switching to 3.90's? It's a modification that is way down the road, as I want to do it the same time I replace all my suspension and replace my half shafts with carbon fiber units, but I'm still curious. Anybody know??

2.78 tells me that you have a 81-82

Higher Stall CV's and higher number rears help, but the real thing is power.

Years ago their was this guy named "Monty" With a 3.08 rear and a 700R4 did high 11 second 1/4's

Your time is good with your MPH

You just have to decide what your going to throw money at
