Default 80-82 with rally wheels?

Anybody have any pics of an 80-82 with rally wheels? I keep on vasilating btwn the rallys and 18" rims. Duno, I've seen some beater Civics and Caprices with the large rims, so it's not exactly like 18"ers will set you apart.

No pics but personally, I think 18s are too big for C3s. I have 17s as do many others and I think the proportions are about right.

gimme your E-mail address;
I have a picture of a Black '80-'82 Vette w/ steel Rally wheels I can send you

P.S.: no " A-whooga-whooga-isk " here; they look like standard 15" jobbies.

Yeah 17's are good. I would prefer to fill out the wells a bit more ala:

However, wheels like that would cost me a bunch more than I have, and I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me.

Hey Turtlevette, funny thing you should reply. You're the one that got me seriously thinking of 15x10 rally wheels. I've always been a fan of the fat tire look, and that is something that alot of larger diameter rims are missing.

if you are serious, let me know.
I recently saw an old friend with extra-wide Rally wheels he got from a source in California. He said the place charges $52 each, no matter how wide you want them.
I figure you could rattle-can/spray-bomb them and be burning gas for less than $300.....

Ricer,

Cool, that will be a couple of paychecks down the road... I have to address some other issues first, like the badly cracked t-top. Do you know that source's contact info?

BTW- I shot you an email.

Ricer,

I think I found the problem. Wasn't the computer, but the lose nut behind the key board. The email address on the forum is old/bad. The yahoo one I typed in the email I sent is the right one.

What's the torque-spec for a loose key-board nut?

Don't recall seeing a 'yahoo' address; try sending me an E-mail to either/both:
LocoGC@aol.com (this screen-name)
Glensgages@aol.com (other name)

I haven't forgotten about those extra-wide Rally wheels.

I also got my previous screen-name back (posted as 'ricer' for a few days), thanks to savewave
