Run-On problem Update
So I soldered the diode into the alt wire as recommended by MSD. But she still runs on after the ignition is turned off.
The ignition switch appears to be functioning properly because it cuts power to the acc when turned off.
I called MSD and they said the next step is to put the Chrysler resistor ballast on the red MSD ignition wire. They also said to completely disconnect the brown wire from the alt and do a quick test to ensure thats the problem. I will try another diode as I suspect its not unusual for those things not to work.
It cuts me deep to put a Chrysler product on my vette.

Might try having someone turn the ign off and then you unplug the box from the dist when the run on starts to see of its is the ign system or just hot spot/carbon build up run on. I am running the same set up with no run on.
