Default Rotors

It's time to change out the front rotors, so I'd like to do it all the way around. Has anyone ever bought drilled and slotted from RacingConcepts? I can get all four for $139. Seems like too good of a price.

I still have the original rotors on my 77. They are riveted to the hub. How difficult is it to get the rivets out to put on new rotors?

One of these days....

To remove the rivits you'll have to drill them out. $139 for all 4 really does seem to good to be true. Make sure that they are heat treated. If not your wasting your money on rotors that just look good and will fail eventually. A lot of people have problems w/the drilled rotors b/c it weakens the metal. Next time you see a C5 w/the drilled and slotted rotors, look close and you will see a lot of stress crackes in them. Some are running them and like them and don't have many problems but they are probalby not driving the car everyday either. The slotted rotors for everyday driving would be better in my opinion. I agree with Van Steel, that sounds way to low for a set of four.

Yes and yes. Our slotted rotors, for all 4 $440. Normally they are $129.95 each. If you live outside the US, we only charge you what it cost us to ship by US snail mail.

If the price looks too good, it may be because the rotors are imported with questionable metalurgy. Be sure you're buying quality, not price.

It's $31 to ship, so a total of $170. I emailed and asked about whether or not they are heat treated and questioned their life span. Haven't heard back yet...
