Default What have you hit with your Vette

Today I was cruising in western Montana driving my dads vette while he was taking a much needed nap. following a semi in the left lane he begins to move over so I close on him and suddenly there it is. A ladder laying down in the middle of the left lane of the interstate, I slammed on the brakes and swereved to the left. luckily hit it on the right side with no damage. although the car killed and i had to pull over and restart. I wish I could find the A$$ hole who left a ladder in the middle of the highway that could have ruined my car. so I wanna know what you have hit. -Jeo

Where in Montana? Just visiting?
I hit a baby chicken, it went into my center grille and exploded with a plume of feathers just like on cartoons. It was hilarious.

I hit a cat, and I almost hit a wooden pallet laying in the middle of the road, dam kids taking pallets to a party for firewood and one of the pallets fell out of the back of their truck.

With the Vette -- a hummingbird. Either that or the largest flying bug this side of the Amazon rainforest. Happened about 2 weeks ago.

Default Hey! now this is my kind of thread.

Let's see, first off let's go off topic.

Part 1
I had two (2) {dos} <1+1> Harley Davidson's slide into the passenger side, one rear quarter panel destroyed, and one door cracked and rocker panel gone. Oh and the vette was parked at the time... :mad
Cost of repairs $8,000.00 paid by the drunk biker..

Part 2
At the drag strip, dweeb teenagers hand pushed their firebird into the rear of the brand new paint job. One rear valance spider webbed.
Cost of repairs $1,400.00 Paid by the dweeby kids dweeby dad....

Now we can go back to the original topic.

Part 3
I hit a poor coyote on the way home one night. I say poor because he couldn't afford to pay for the repairs. Now I have a small group of spider webs on the lower front air damn...
No repair this time, I couldn't find rest of the family to pay for it....

Anyone want to top this one...

I thought almost everyone hits something with the nose of thier vette when they first get it because they don' realize just how long it is and you can;t see the nose from the drivers seat.

I havent hit anything yet, but it has changed the way I park any other car as well and now I am always the guy that has the rear end of the car sticking out farther than anyone else.

I drove right into the front end of my garage. It's still amazes me how long that front end on the Vette is that you can't see . . . . Luckily, I was barely moving and did not hurt anything. Sure scared the sheite out of me though.

2" diameter tree branch. Went through front bumper at 55 mph.
And the same day I hit a tire wall at the race track with the rear bumper.

That was not a good day. Other than that I have avoided everything else.
