Default big block in 80-81?

i tried searching but I think since they changed the forum all the old stuff is gone cuz i can't fine anything, I'm wondering if a big block will fit in an 80-81, I know the frames are the same so thats not a problem, but are there any other probelsm or is it pretty easy? also, if a regular deck BB will fit, will a tall deck? thanks

While I can't answer specifics, I have seen 80-82 models with 454s stuffed under the hood. So, it can be done.

My 78 has a 454 and it works ok. No problem with carb (Qjet) clearance. Headers my cause a problem cause of the proximity of the steering box.
