A friend of Mine has a 81 vette that the hood is stuck on the pass side. I tried to jiggle it around to get it open. Will I have to take the hood loose to get it open? There is no way to get anything in there to trip the latch.

Any ideas

If yo pull up on the left side of the hood a little you can get your hand in to push the lever back to open the other side..... If your lucky!!

There are supposed to be access holes in the windshield wiper well area. You take a long screwdriver, place it through that hole and pop the hood latch open. I think that there are instructions on how to do this on Mid America's vette site.

Thanks all. I have tried both and they didnt work. Also no access holes in the windshield wiper area. I will keep trying.

Access hole may be plugged up with a rubber plug, it may be hard to see.
