Default Best Header Paint in a spray can?? Your Recommendations Please.

Used Blackjack S.B. Headers currently being beadblasted. Is there any High-Temp spray paint that won't burn off after firing it up. Thanks, Gene :flag

VHT or ck EASTWOOD.COM. The biggest problem with painting headers is keeping your finger oil off the surface. Bake the headers in an oven if you can, to setup the paint. If you can spend some extra $$$, you can send to JET HOT and have them ceramic coated. I had them do my Heddmen Headers

Default Vht 1200

I sandblasted my headers and applied three light even coats . Ran it about 3-4 mins. and completely cooled off 5 or six times . That was six months ago and they still look newly painted. No sitting out during rainy weather or at night though.

The VHT paint SUCKS. It does not mention it on the can but any moisture that collects in the paint during drying or that was present in the metal after sandblasting will cause ugly blisters in the paint. If you do it, blast the headers, bake them in the oven to remove moisture, then apply the paint in a few thin coats and finally bake the thing off.
