Corvette repair near Valley Forge, PA
I recently bought a 69 convertible and I need to get the power steering pump/reservoir repaired. Can anyone point me towards a reputable mechanic who won't dork up my car? I'm new to the area and I've been to a couple of the classic Vette dealers in the area but I'm just not sure I should let them do the work since they'll probably charge me double what a normal mechanic would.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you don't mind a short trip a couple exits west on the turnpike, try the Sports Car Center in Ephrata. They specialize in 'vettes and do a great job at a fair price. Their number is 717-859-3490

Denny's Corvette Restos in POttstown seemd reasonable while I was talking with him about some problems of mine, but I ultimately sent my car up a shop in Perkasie which is closer. did excellent work, had a bel air going through a full resor, plus was working on a high performance vette when I picked mine up. Terry Gillis Automotive, but that may be too far away.

There is also a shop in West Chester, look in the yellow pages. Can you share with the forum what the problem is? The power steering pump/resevoir is usually a do-it-yourself kind of project that may not require a mechanic.

Thanks for the responses. I wish I knew exactly what was wrong. Unfortunately, I just moved up to PA from VA and all my tools are still packed up in the garage of my old house. I know it wouldn't take me long to pull the pump and change it out...heck, it's only a $60 part....but I don't want to waste the next two weeks waiting for the moving company. Besides, since I just bought the car (a very nice transaction with forum member "Saint") I want to get it completely checked out to make sure I didn't miss anything when I went over it.

Call Kurt at Phoenix Auto Center 215-679-2232 They are located in Palm,PA about 15 minutes from the Quakertown exit of the NE Extension.
They have a great shop rate and really know what's going on. They do all kinds of performance work from general repairs to roll cages, chassis set ups & dyno work.
They also build & prep SCCA Touring 1 Corvettes, T2 Firebirds, Camaros and Cadillac CTS-V. They have the National Championship T1 for the past three years.
