Braided Oil Pressure Line
I am installing my braided oil pressure line last night and I get the line connected at the block. I pull the line through the firewall and start to connect it to the gauge. There is no way I can make it fit. I run all over town and there is nothing at any of the local stores that can help me. What am I missing here? I need an adaptor of some kind. Anyone have any idea as to what I need to go look for this evening. There is a speed shop in Knoxville I am going to go try and see if they set me up. I jwould like to know what I am after before I get there though.

This is someting that I need to do soon. I really don't like the 1/8" plastic line.
I would think that both ends should be 1/8" NPT but maybe the gauge isn't. It's been a while since I had it off.

Eddie,
Youe S/S line is probably a -4 with -4 JIC ends. The original plastic hose has a kind of unique compression fitting that covers conical brass compression sleeve. I've never seen any kind of adapter for that, but try guage manufacturers and S/S hose manufacturers. They might have something that is not listed in regular catalogs.
In looking at the pic from the other post, it appears that they use a female inverted flare, commonly used on brakes. You can see if one of thses fits. Notice that the seal is from the cone that goes inside the oil pressure guage fitting, not from the threads. So I'm not entirely sure if it will seal even if it does thread.
