OT: should I sell my 400 K5 blazer whole or part it out?
It's time for my K5 400 Blazer to go. Not enough time to work on 2 old cars. It drives fine but there are lots of little things that need to be fixed. Should I sell it or part it out? The engine is the original and it still has the original spare tire! Is a 400 engine worth much?

A running, virgin, unbored 400 small block Chevy engine can bring some good money. They're getting harder to find in rebuildable condition and they're very popular.
As an example, virgin 400 SBC BLOCKS that have been tanked and magged will bring $350-$400 at the swap meet. If you can find one.

Unless you already know about this place, I suggest heading over to http://www.coloradoK5.com.

I would leave it together. You can't build an engine to replace it for what you can get for the 400. Most anything running will bring much more than a roller.
