Default Broke My Petcock, Dayum!

Changing my anti-freeze this morning on my '78 SA I accidently twisted off the petcock while tightening it back up. Can it be fixed in some way or is it time for a new radiator?

I think they screw out. I remember replacing one that the "T" broke on a long time ago.

Go to Corvette Central 's site here
http://www.parts123.com/PartFrame.as...rvette_Central

And search "Radiator drain fowl" for your year

Actually, the petcock and the mounting threads came off at the base of the radiator. Just pulled right out.

In that case, I would start by calling a good radiator shop in your area and ask them this question. You might be able to pull it and have them clean it up and repair it cheaper than buying a new one, especially if originallity is important to you.
