Default It's a Vette Thing!

Last week I had my Nephews from Florida at my house for about a week. I see them about once every 2 years, but we talk a lot over the phone.

My youngest Nephew, Matt who is 11 years old, commented, "...What's so special about a Corvette?" When he said that, I could not believe my ears! I had not really encountered such a response before.

I tried to explain why Corvettes are just the best thing out there.... that there are cars, and there are Corvettes. The more I talked, the more he looked puzzled. I ended up just saying, "It's a Vette thing, maybe when you grow up, you will understand!"

How else can you explain the attraction we have to the Corvette?

Matchframe, I like the dolly you have under the front crossmember. It looks like it is curved to match the curvature of the cm bottom. Did you make that or does someone sell them?
Thanks

I bought them from www.car-dolly.com
These have hard plastic wheels and heavy duty casters. They cost a little more than what you can get from Harbor freight, but I wanted to make sure they did not scratch the floor paint.

Sadly they'd much more appreciate a honda Civic with rims, spoilers and playstations in the rear seat backs.

Liar!! Everyone knows you are just getting your Corvette back on the road so you can turn your attention to your Camry.

Gotta be someone in the area or a buddy you know with a running vette to show em the throw down. Take em to the next local vette only event and show em how hot they can all be in thier own special way while still sharing a common heritage that surpasses most any other production vehicle. Tell them about the technical innovations that are used today and were first used 25+ years ago in a corvette. Then sit him down and give him an idea of the numbers you plan on spending on your restoration and let him know you could buy a nice new car for that price but a new car just isn't quite worth it.

Oh yeah and then tell him about the endless amounts of tail you plan on getting...

And you ask why he looks puzzled?

He will know what you mean once you´re done with your restoration...
Children just can´t imagine - cause they are too young to understand
