Default Fasten seat belt light

The fasten seat belt light is always on on my 75 whether or not you buckle up. How would I go about troubleshooting it? Is there any easy way to disconnect it until I can get around to fixing it. I would rather have it off all the time than stuck on.

This doesn't answer your question but mine is off all the time in my 75 too. The previous owner must have disconected it. Maybe for the same reason. Good luck with your answer.

I don't know if it is the same on 75's or not, but, the light is just a reminder on my 70. The light is located on the center gauge cluster. Just below the light is a push button. Push the button and the light goes out until you cut the ignition off. On mine it has no idea even if you have seat belts. Hopefully this will help.

There is no button on a 75. More than likely the wire has come off from the seat belt latch or the switch is just not working any longer. I have a 75 also, and it did the same thing, I just removed the bulb until I get a chance to check it out. The connection is within the receiving part of the seatbelt latch.
