What intake is that Corey? Most will fit w/ a drop base air cleaner. That certaintly does look though. I don't think you need a hood!

That sure looks nice as is! If it don't fit - you must aquit!
A new hood won't be cheap. All those L-88 hoods you see are not just for looks - it's the only way to get most aftermarket intakes to fit. You get a little bit more clearance with the bigblock hood, but not much.

Aw Cory...you're a painter! Buy a short style L-88 hood and paint it up! I am not sure, but I think that might not fit under the small block hood with an air cleaner.

Don't comprimise! Get the intake you want...and L-88 hoods look cool! Especially with the working wiper door!

Cory,
If it's not any taller than the Performer RPM than it will fit. I have an RPM and Demon 750 and it fits with a drop base and 2 1/4" filter. But I had to file down the venturi tubes on the top of the carb so the filter top wouldn't completely cover them.

Thats what I have with the Edelbrock triangle air cleaner and that leaves less than a 1/4" on my 80

I have a BG 650 speed demon with a drop base air cleaner i got from pepboys and it fits fine, i didnt need to file anything down, i did have to modify the base though, because youll notice itll start hitting against the two screws on the top of the fuel bowls, i just cut out holes for the to fir through end then used some jb weld to get it all back together
