Default question: new 350 with vortec heads

Just installed a new gm crate motor with vortec heads. Started it up a ran it for about 20 mins. Looking thru the hole in the valve cover were the breather goes and didnt see any oil slopping around in there??? Now it ran for 20 mins and no rapping or ticking. is this normal not to see oil flowing in there

There should be oil on top of the rockers, But there is most likely a baffle underneath the hole you were looking through. If its not clicking, they have oil! But if your really worried, just pull off a valve cover!

That is completely normal, don't worry about it a bit!
