Default Help with removing flame arrestor

Hello corvette friends Im about to replace the flame arrestor on my air cleaner and would like to know what is involed to remove it is it spot welded on or is it a press fit ?It on a 1971 a stock dual snorkol air cleaner thank-you.

I've got the same question. I don't want to damage it, just remove it. I dunno...

It is just pressed into place. You may have to lightly pry it off, but it isn't 'attached'.

Thanks. That was my guess but how many times have I tried to pry something off that should be pressed then twisted?
