new carpet install glue or not?
Installing new carpet in 79 front and rear. Putting a heat shield under the carpet. Do you recommend glueing rear compartment down. No glue up front. But not sure about the rear area. What kind of glue? How about the seat backs? Hope to install this weekend, can the glue be bought in car shops if needed? Thanks. Happy 4th!

First time I get to use this:
Anyway, I'd use it only if your carpet looks like it is rippled or sagging. You can determine that when you trial fit it. If it looks bad, use the 3m spray adhesive.

Thanks for all the info. I installed the rear area without glue and will give it a day or two in the heat to settle in. I did clue the heat shield down but not the carpet. What is that heavy clay like stuff over the wheel wells? Al most looks like putty?
