Please help with C-O-R-V-E-T-T-E rear lettering on my 68
For some reason someone before me removed the letters on my 68. I need a template or could some one measure the distance between each letter and the distance between the inside tail light to the first letter and maybe measure from license bezel to the letters. Or if you did it a diff. way please let me know. Thank you for your time.

Send me an email. I made a template just about a month ago for my 71. I used my 70 to make the template. The letters turned out pretty well. I posted pictures at the time.

If you want to know where your old letter holes are, check the back side of the panel. You may just have to redrill them from behind. I prefer the look of no letter or a C5 decal there myself, but to each his own.

LAvetteman, I tried that but I can really feel the holes. I would have to remove the whole thing to drill from the back, so since it is easier drilling from the front I wanted to make a template.

My car was the same way when I got it. Take a flashlight at night and look at the back of your car where the lettering should be at a grazing angle. You should be able to see the slight imperfections where the holes were. Take an awl or a small phillips head screw driver and punch these holes out from the outside. I was able to do all of the holes this way. Good luck.
