I've got some problems, need some advise.
Here's the problems.
I have a 1974 L82 with a remanufactured quadrajet.
Car is dieseling after a hot shut off.
Plugs "bosch platinums" have black crusty soot on them.
Smells really gassy at times, hookers have black soot in them.
I'm guessing I'm running rich, and the carbon on the plugs is causing the dieseling.
How can I adjust this carb???

In the bottom plate of the carburetor at the front there are two screws (they're recessed and hard to see while it's on the car) that set the idle mixture. You need a vacuum gauge to do it right. Pull off your air cleaner, plug any open vacuum ports, and hook up the vacuum gauge to a vacuum port. While the car's idling, screw in one of the screws until the vacuum starts to drop, then back it out just a little bit, then do the other one. You may have to reset your idle speed if it changes while you're doing this. Once you get the second one set, go back to the first one and do it again. You may have to go back and forth a few times. You're done when the vacuum drops whenever you start to turn either one.

You may want to lower your power piston stop. This would lean out your mixture at idle and cruise.
