Ripped out my carpet today and here's what I found......
Nothing is ever easy, is it...?
I thought I would have the insulation and new carpeting installed in a few days. The newly covered seats are ready and sitting in my living room. But there's always a new twist to these old C3's we love and cherish so much.
Anyway.....RUST on the bracket under the deck lid hinge. Where can I find a replacement, and what part do I search for...? The body mount bracket behind that same rear wheel is also rusted away. The other side seems to be okay.

Try a search on "deck lid" in the Corvette Central catalog under parts on the lower left.

Man, I bet that messed up your day!!
Good thing is, its not that bad at all.
when you fix it, try some POR-15
