Default Powersticks...a "new & improved" chambered exhaust???

I read a dozen or so threads on chambered exhausts, but didn't see any mention these Powersticks.

Anyone have any experience with them? A common complaint from the threads I read about the chambered exhaust is that they are restictive (taper down to 2" or so inside)...these stay @ 2.5"

Thoughts?

They look nice.

I have also looked at chambered mufflers from Sweet Thunder. http://www.sweet-thunder.com/

They look nice as well, just wish there were more .wav / .mp3 files to hear them on different vehicles and/or different engine set-ups. The closest dealer to me for the PowerSticks is in Georgia...about an 8 hour drive! So don't think I'll be swinging by to hear them on different cars anytime soon!

Anyone know of any sites with chambered exhaust sound clips?

Sorry to bump a 6 year old thread, but I'm looking in to putting powersticks on my c4. On the site, they have powersticks and "cobrasticks" which appear to be glasspacks:

Does anyone have experience with these mufflers?

Those are exactly what I have on mine. They sound great! The inner diameter is exactly 2.5 inches like the rest of my exhaust, no restriction whatsoever.

Sorry I replied to the old Original post...I have those on my 81 and love em. I have 2.5 inch true duals no cat with 2 of the 18 inchers in the middle, they also make a much longer resonator, or you can add two of the short ones on the back along with the two in the middle. My setup is loud but I love it and it really sounds mean. And yes they are true to size, mine are 2.5 inches all the way through like my exhaust no restricton at all. I have a buddy with a huge inventory of them and he is closing his shop, said he will take 30 bucks a peice plus shipping for the short ones, and they are powersticks.

Default Well...

I just got an email from a bud that tested them and was able to write a report back to the company. I don't feel right to just paste his email address to the forum but if you want to drop me a line, I'll pass it along.

Bud.

I recently got a set of 2.75 ID" sweet thunder chambered pipes. They are the sidepipe insert made for hooker sidepipes. But they make them in chambered sections for undercar system.

I like them so far, they are louder then when I had 40s flowermaster w/ headers and 2.5 pipes. I was running open 4" sidepipes for a few months and made the switch to the sweet thunders, they quited it down so I can hear people talking to me in the car but they still have nice aggresive tone and WOT they are pretty loud. I'm happy with them, I didn't notice any lose of power with them over open pipes.

I have a clip of them I have to find.

I saw on the sweet thunder site that the baffle inserts are 2.25", while the piping itself is 2.75". This is why I'm wanting powersticks

I have chambered exhaust I bought through Mid America, I forget who makes them but they sound great, loud but great.

I'm a former side pipe person who switched because of an LS1 conversion I did,
Honestly I like the side pipes better and will probably switch back once I can get a set modified.
