Default Warning....Mono Spring front end

Those of us who have switched to the mono spring front suspension from VetteBrakes.
Check the large Allen 4 bolts at the A-arms.....
Lucky for me I decided to check under there before shipping car to Maui for 4th of July racing events up there. I guess the up and down motion of the car will back these bolts out.
We found one bolt almost completely backed out and another loose.
While we had her up on the rack a complete check of the underside was performed. Found a piece of a hack saw blade embedded in one of the tires....We also set alignment and the back tires camber for drag racing stance and found the extended bolt for lowering and raising the car was rubbing the composite spring metal support brakets. Good thing we went under there today.....car ships Tuesday.....I almost nix'd the check to go to a car show event today....Very glad I didn't. Just a short safety reminder to let you know regular checks under there may save your life. KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN.

Wow. Good thing you took a look under that thing!

Never a bad idea to check the underside periodically.

How expensive is it to ship a car from island to island?

Yep....Went to car show and it started to drizzle.....so decided to go for the hobby shop.
Island to island is $250.00 round trip.....Cheaper than renting a car for a week.....When we go there's about 16+ hot rods in our group.
They allow us to load our own cars.....so I go.
If they didn't....I wouldn't go. No one touches our cars. Which is okay with me. There's too many things to go wrong if one of the barge jockey's drove our cars. They are a great bunch of guys....they help us using forklifts to raise the ramps so our cars go straight on....no scraping the noses or the bottoms.
