Congrats To Sray454!!
Just wanted to acknowledge the accomplishments of Mike (Sray454) in achieving "Survivor Status" with his War Bonnet Yellow 72 LS-5 this weekend at Bloomington Gold. and for being invited back next year for "Gold' and ultimatly "Bench Mark" certification. Nice going Mike...Congrats.
That's all that's left now, is for you to get off your azz now and finish that "frame off" you started on the OTHER War Bonnet Yellow 72 LS-5 sitting in pieces in your garage!!!!
For me.....This weekend meant the sale of Silvr77. She left Bloomington with another man. All my attention will now be focused on my 72 L-48.
Congrats Again Mike

Re: Congrats To Sray454!! (Silvr77)
Thanks Ed ( Silvr77 ), but it really is the car that gets the certification, I'm just the poor guy who had to clean it up - A LOT !!! It is certainly an interesting experience as this was my first car to ever have judged. The judges are very good at what they do, that is for sure.
I'm STILL blown away by the '72 LS5 Vert there with only 4.3 ORIGINAL miles. Not a single deviation from the assembly line as far as I could tell. I'm sure the NCRS will be making at least a few revisions to their juging guide based on that car.
It was funny, while I was standing there watching it being judged, a fellow came up bragging about his 30K mile '72, until I pointed to this car and said "4", his response:
"40,000?" "Nope - 4",
"4,000" ? "Nope - 4",
"400"? , "Nope - 4",
" 4 MILES ??? !!! ???", Yep!!!
And before anyone goes off on the "WHAT A WASTE" rant, I just gotta tell ya it is what it is - a trophy Corvette - and we all like our trophies - And it is the best original '72 Trophy out there.
Congrats to Silvr77 on his newfound ability to FOCUS on the '72. Can't wait to hear those sidepipes rumble.

Eddie,
In case you were still wondering who you were talking to in the red '65 vert while you were watching the road tour, it was the wife and I, Fred. By the time I got to Bloomington Gold sale area Saturday you had already sold your car and were no where around.
BTW - I came within $900 on closing a deal for a '03 50th 6sp vert. Too bad 'cause now I'm having 2nd thoughts.
Fred
