Custom knock offs for AR wheels.
I have been working on a set of custom knock off's for my vintage AR wheels. What I wanted was the "old vintage race" look..where the original splined hub was hollow, not flat as the spinners are I have seen sold today.
Finished polishing one and installed it....I know spinners are not everyone's "cup of tea" but I am more than happy with them and well worth the effort.

How'd ya do that? Start with AR original spinners?

Hey Nick that looks pretty . What if you painted the lugs the same color of the wheels so all you see are the spinners. Just my 2 cents. Nice job.

Re: Custom knock offs for AR wheels. (Jughead)
Jughead, there' a company called carriage works that make some real nice billet spinners for Budnik and for Torq Thrust wheels. I called them and persuaded them to sell me a pair of front (12 degree dish) and two rear (20 degree dish) "as cast" spinners (They where unmachined and unpolished) I basically made the centers out of scrap .5" plate aluminum and some tubing.

John65,80 I was thinking along the same lines...either the black plastic covers for the lug nuts....or making a set of cones similar to the ones used on the mid year cars with knock offs to cover the lug nuts.
