Default HELP! Low Fuel Light???

I am in the process of restoring a 77. I have worked out most of the electrical gremlins, but I can't get the low fuel light to go off... Talked to a guy who told me that there is a resistor or some type of small PC board that goes on the rear of the gauge cluster between the fuel gauge and the light. Said if it's missing, the low fuel light stays on.

Anyone know where I can find this item???

Thanks
Dan

It's not quite true that the light stays on if the board is missing - what happens is that people put a regular bulb holder in the space where the special holder/circuit board assembly goes, and this will cause the bulb to light permanently. A regular twist-in bulb holder has two pin connections, and the special one has three. The board is not available new from GM, but it's easy to make your own - have a look at this thread

That :mad board almost set my car on fire. When I was restoring my dash, the resistor shorted out and started smoking and the car would not shut off. I started to disconnect the battery and hit the the main gauge board with with the seat back. The low fuel board fel out of the main gauage board and the engine shut off. Go figure
