Walker Chambered Exhaust???
I'll be ditching the stock Y-pipes and catalytic converter on my '77 soon and installing a set of true dual exhaust. I have been thinking of going to the Walker Undercar Chambered Exhaust System (Mid America Catalouge, Vintage 53-82, page 3-37).
It looks like a pretty slick system as everything from the manifolds to the tips is included for $300.00
Anyone have these on their car? Comments on sound, quality, ease of install, performance, etc. appreciated
Thanks
Dan

Re: Walker Chambered Exhaust??? (DanZR1)
I had to change to real dual exhaust when my '77 failed inspection
I had my local performance garage install my Mid American dual exhaust system. My only problem was the reverse light switch was in the way of the left exhaust pipe.
It looks like you have an automatic from your sig pic. That would not be a concern to you. My car is a 4 speed.
My mechanic said everything fit together very well. I did NOT re install the heat exchanger either. There is provisions for the exhaust donuts in that manifold.
The sound is great. I've had people ask if it's a big block ( just a stock small block) . A nice rumble at idle and managable when cruising. You will know when you stand on it
My wife loves the sound of it.
